Alexandrian School

One of the two great schools of biblical interpretation in the early Church. The school was established in Alexandria, Egypt in the late second century AD.

The Alexandrian School incorporated Greek Pagan philosophical beliefs from Plato's teachings into Christianity. They interpreted much of the Bible allegorically.
