The holy text used by Christians, which combines the Hebrew Scripture (Old Testament) and Christian Scripture (New Testament). Some faith groups (e.g. Roman Catholicism) also include a group of writings known as the Apocrypha.

The term, which originated from the Greek word 'biblos,' (book) is also sometimes used to refer to the holy texts of other religions.
