Christian Science

A Christian denomination founded in 1879 in Boston, Massachusetts, by Mary Baker Eddy. It promotes spiritual healing, that sickness and matter is not real, and that one should avoid medical help. Students of Christian Science are usually, though not always or necessarily, members of the Church of Christ, Scientist.
