Devil

A term used in Judaism, Christianity and Islam to describe evil personified. It is often used in Christianity as a synonym for Satan. The devil is regarded as a quasi-deity who tempts every human to do evil.

Islam includes the stoning of the three pillars with 7 stones each during Hajj as an expression of rejecting temptation.
