Eschatology

The study of end time events in prophecy. In the case of conservative Christians, this typically involves discussion of:

• the tribulation (the time of trouble)
• Jesus' second coming
• the Antichrist (the evil being who fights against Christ)
• the war of Armageddon (the last battle)
• the rapture (the rescue of the righteous)

Eschatology plays a minor role in liberal Christianity.
