Freethinker

1. Originally used to refer to persons who doubted the Trinity; the concept that a Godhead existed composed of a Father, Son and Holy Spirit. They supported the concept of a single indivisible deity.

2. Now more commonly used to include persons who reject religious beliefs in general, and who follows their own spiritual and ethical path.
