Hellenism

A general term referring to the influence that Greek Pagan culture had on other societies between the time of Alexander the Great (333 BC) to 76 BC when the Romans rose to power. Judaism was profoundly influenced by Hellenism after the conquest of Palestine by the Greeks in the second century BC.
