Quest for the Historical Jesus

A series of attempts over the last few centuries to analyse the books in the Christian Scriptures (New Testament) and other historical writings of the early Christian movement in order to get a greater understanding of the birth, life, personality, religion and teachings of Yeshua of Nazareth (Jesus Christ).

Inherent in this search is a rejection of the beliefs that God inspired the authors of the Christian Scriptures and that their writings are inerrant. The quest is mainly an activity of religious liberals and non-theists.
