Ritual Abuse

Involuntary psychological, physical, sexual or spiritual maltreatment, associated with a (normally religious) ritual.

There is typically one accidental death per year in North America as a result of ritual abuse in the form of a conservative Christian exorcisms.

Satanists were widely perceived during the 1980's and early 1990's as perpetrating widespread Satanic Ritual Abuse (SRA) involving the torture, murder and even eating of human sacrifices.
