A direct communication from God to one or more humans.

Eastern Orthodox Christians observe a holy day by this name; it recalls the baptism of Yeshua of Nazareth, allegedly on 6th January according to the Julian Calendar. Eastern Christians believe that Jesus' divinity was revealed at his baptism.
